Khyentse Foundation is a collaborative effort of students, friends, volunteers, and sponsors around the world to translate Khyentse Rinpoche’s aspirations into active programs. We are engaged in an international campaign to provide the necessary resources and energy to promote the Buddha’s teachings for the benefit of all people.
Khyentse Foundation is a very small and young (9 years going on 10) organization. But it's an efficient and truly international organization that has had a significant impact on the lives of numerous beneficiaries in countries around the world. Once KF's initial goal of supporting the Khyentse monasteries was met, the scope of our activities quickly expanded to provide support to institutions and individuals from lineages and traditions all over the world. While maintaining a global focus, we remain a grassroots organization, operated by an all-volunteer staff and supported by hundreds of donors from over 35 countries, many of whom give just a few dollars a month. Like drops of water making up the ocean, together the Foundation and its donors and volunteers are supporting thousands of practitioners, students, and monastics worldwide, and reestablishing the age-old tradition of Buddhist patronage for contemporary times.
